A brief summary of the Golf Cart Rules includes:
Golf Carts Prohibited from traveling on any roads exceeding 35mph (Six Lane Hwy 98 East or West Prohibited)
ALL passengers are required to wear seat belts at all times
One seat belt per passenger (no double buckling)
Children are required to wear seat belts at all times (car seats may be strapped in)
No texting & and driving
Drive Sober or get pulled over!
(6) Passengers MAX
No driving on the beach or sidewalks
Must Obey All Traffic Laws (Golf Cart is Treated as Street Legal Vehicle)
Customer responsible for any towing, other violations, citations, or fines
Must be at least 21 to drive & Have Valid Drivers License & Auto Insurance
Carts may not be operated on sidewalks or main highway 98
Carts must have headlights, tail lights, and brake lights
All persons are required to be seated in an installed seat
Infants and small children are especially at risk and should be secured at all times by another passenger age 21 or older. In general, most golf cart manufacturers do not recommend children, and infants ride in a golf cart.
The driver may not hold a child or infant while operating a cart
The driver may not hold an animal or an object in a manner that impairs vision or their ability to operate the cart.
Reckless operation is prohibited
